It’s a rare occasion when a session gets postponed for happy reasons, but that was the case with Brady and Ashley. I was literally driving to our session when I get a call from Brady telling me that Ashley’s sister’s water just broke and he and Ash had to get her to the hospital stat!
Needless to say, the photos waited a day, and it’s a good thing, too, because little Eve and Winston didn’t take long to make their entrance (congratulations, Anna and Charlie!). Double joy!

So Brady is my baby cousin. I’ve been privileged to shoot several family members over the years, and I reach a whole new level of nervousness when it comes to shooting family. Isn’t that weird? You’d think I’d be more relaxed, but no. Bucket of nerves.
Both Brady and Ashley grew up in NW Minnesota (I did, too, and loved it!), and we wanted to capture that same flat, cold, farm country flavor with which they’re familiar. This session is “them” to a T, and all family and friends will be glad to see we got a few shots of “the REAL Brady” in action.

“Finally” is because they’ve been dating for a million years (at least!), and we’ve all been nagging Brady to get a ring on Ash’s finger for years. She’s really already part of the family; just making it official!

Thanks for a great time in the cold, guys. You will make very cute babies someday.
